Dear TLQ Lady Golfers,
A month has already come and gone and the temps here are inching up. We had triple digits for a few days but we are back in the 90s. I must say, other than the course, this is a beautiful place to be with all the flowers and trees in bloom; purple, orange, red, yellow. Creation at its best! It’s all so amazing - until it’s not! Then all those beautiful blooms are in your pool!
Please join me in congratulating Helen Richards on her first ever hole in one at Silver Rock on May 27th. It was on #11, a 108-yard par 3 with a 7 iron. Congratulations, Helen!
Currently, Rita and Sue are working on the Last Woman Standing with a twist. This year we will crown ‘Ms Red Hot Chili Pepper ‘23’ after a 2-day tournament that is sure to be a fun day. This year’s changes, of course, are in an effort to keep our members safe in the heat and have fun doing it! Details to follow.
There is no news yet on any changes to our course, but I believe that in and of itself is good news!(See below) I’m sure our Team is negotiating the best deal possible and our Coral Mountain Golf Course will be back, better than ever! I know our Board is working hard to achieve that goal. Please keep our HOA Board in your thoughts and prayers during this very trying time.
I’d like to give a big shout out to all of you for posting your scores to the USGA website. And a big thank you to Janice Pollakoff for her gentle reminders. Our entire board is hard at work behind the scenes all year to ensure an informative off season and a fun season.
Lots of our members are on vacation or going on vacation, some to faraway places, and others to cooler places. All of you, travel safe and be sure to share your travel plans and experiences with all of us on our new Message Centre!
That’s all for now. Fairways and greens to you!
‘The people who gave us golf and called it a game are the same people who gave us bag pipes and called it music.’
Best Regards,
Joy
