Dear TLQ Lady Golfers,

It’s February? WHAT!  It’s going too fast! And where is this rain coming from? I have to say, though, we have had some pretty spectacular winter days. No complaining here!

It’s been a nerve—wracking couple of years here at Trilogy, especially the last couple of months. But the vote is over and we’re back on the map!! We have only good things to look forward to in our community now. I’m so excited to hear those early morning maintenance carts on the course waking me up, and the sound of building and new life going on around me. There will be no complaining about noise or dust or traffic! ‘ Trilogy La Quinta Forward!’

There will be a General Meeting on Monday, February 5th at Big Rock after the tournament. It’s a shotgun start so we should all finish at the same time.

Pam has been successful in filling the open position on the board, and she will be making an announcement about the slate and elections in March.  It’s not too late to submit your nominations to Pam Rutherford for any of the elected positions (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, or tournament chair) before the slate is posted February 26.

Also at our general meeting, we will be recognizing Karen Cottenie for her Eagle on January 8th on #7 at Big Rock, as well as handing out awards for chip ins and milestones.

I hope to see you all at the Couples and Odd Couples tournament on February 12th. The men are hosting this year so let’s be supportive! Good luck to everyone!

The flyer and signup sheet  for Club Champion has been posted. Be sure to check it out and sign up. The first round is on February 26th.

Don’t forget about the ‘Sip and Shop’ at Nailed Golf, 72880 Fred Waring, Suite A5, Palm Desert on February 21, 2:30-7:30pm.  Please RSVP to Tina, 619-838-5139, if you plan to attend.  If you like to shop and get discounts, this is the place for you!

One more exciting event of note! Save the Date for the ‘18+9=Wine.’ The TLQ Women’s 18 Club is planning a mixer along with the TLQ Women’s 9 Club on Monday, March 18, 4:30pm, on the Cafe Solaz patio with snacks and games and, yes, wine! Plan now to join us.

That’s all for now.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

‘I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row.’
